System Developer – security, networking & clusters (Public Transport)
Join a backend team building mission-critical traffic information services used by planners, operations, passenger displays and mobile apps. You’ll lead a secure platform transition while elevating reliability and observability (logging, monitoring, alerting) without slowing delivery.
Responsibilities
Lead the introduction of a new platform and cluster setup with a strong security posture (networking, access, hardening).
Define observability standards (logs/metrics/traces), dashboards and alerting; own uptime and incident readiness.
Coach developers and set structures/patterns that keep the solution robust, scalable and easy to operate.
Drive API design/integration and automation across build, CI/CD and runtime.
Collaborate across three sub-domains: Geography, Timetables (TDB) and Real-time (“here and now”).
Contribute hands-on in .NET/C# backend development.
Requirements (Essential)
Proven lead experience across security, networking & clusters.
Track record leading a platform migration/rollout.
Observability leadership: logging, monitoring, alerting (e.g., Prometheus/Grafana, Serilog/LOKI).
Kubernetes (incl. enterprise distros such as Tanzu PKS/OpenShift), Docker & Podman.
Public transport data standards: Transmodel, NetEx, NOPTIS, SIRI.
.NET & C#; API development, integrations and automation.
Databases: relational and document (e.g., SQL Server, MariaDB, ElasticSearch, MongoDB).
GitHub (Enterprise) and GitHub Actions for CI; GitOps for CD (e.g., ArgoCD).
Mentoring experience in product development teams.
Nice to Have
Passenger Information Systems (PIS) experience.
Railway/Public Transport APIs (e.g., API Järnväg, PubTrans).
Frontend familiarity (Angular/React + TypeScript) for cross-team collaboration.
