Backend Developer – Traffic Information (DevOps, .NET/C#)

Join a DevOps team building mission-critical backend services that power public transport information across geospatial, timetable, and real-time domains. You’ll work hands-on across APIs, integrations, databases, and CI/CD to improve reliability, scalability, and developer productivity. This is a long-term, full-time assignment in a modern container/Kubernetes environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and evolve backend services for geography, timetable, and real-time data.

  • Design, implement, and maintain APIs and integrations (.NET/C#).

  • Write and optimize database code (relational + document).

  • Automate CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and drive GitOps-based delivery (ArgoCD).

  • Containerize and operate services on Kubernetes (e.g., Tanzu/OpenShift) with Docker/Podman.

  • Strengthen observability and reliability (Prometheus, Grafana, structured logging).

  • Contribute to platform migrations and continuous improvements within the team.

Requirements (Must-have)

  • Documented experience working in a DevOps team.

  • Kubernetes plus Docker/Podman.

  • Familiarity with public transport data standards: NetEx, NOPTIS, SIRI.

  • .NET & C# for backend development.

  • Solid database skills and interest (SQL + document).

  • API development, integrations, and automation mindset.

  • GitHub (Enterprise) and modern Git workflows.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience from traffic/PIS or public transport systems.

  • Angular/React + TypeScript; Dapper; Serilog.

  • SQL Server, MariaDB; Elasticsearch; MongoDB; RHEL9.

  • GitHub Actions/Workflows (CI); ArgoCD + GitOps (CD).

  • Prometheus & Grafana; general PubTrans domain experience.
