Senior Cobol Developer

Introduction
We are looking for an experienced Cobol Developer to join an agile and business-oriented development team working on card products and services. The role combines hands-on Cobol development with responsibilities in system maintenance, testing, and release management. You will collaborate closely with other developers and business experts in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and configure systems within the card domain

  • Develop and test solutions in Cobol environments

  • Handle release management and troubleshooting activities

  • Provide technical support to internal stakeholders

  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members, including developers, database administrators, testers, and business experts

Requirements

  • Solid experience as a Cobol Developer

  • Strong understanding of system development and maintenance

  • Familiarity with agile ways of working (e.g., SAFe, agile release trains)

  • Experience in testing, debugging, and troubleshooting Cobol-based systems

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with additional technologies such as Java or RPG

  • Knowledge of card products, banking, or financial services

  • Previous work in cross-functional agile teams
