Cloud DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer for our client to join their platform and tooling environment. In this role, you will help run cloud-based services, build automation, and maintain a modern CI/CD ecosystem. You will also support product teams in using the tools effectively and contribute to continuous improvements across the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Operate applications and services running on an AWS cloud platform.
  • Build and maintain integrations between applications within the CI/CD ecosystem.
  • Supervise, manage, and continuously improve existing CI/CD tools and services.
  • Support product teams in utilizing CI/CD systems efficiently.
  • Identify bottlenecks and performance issues in services and drive improvements.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of different layers of virtualization.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with machine images.
  • Experience with automation tools for deployment and configuration (e.g., ArgoCD, Terraform).
  • Ability to manage and optimize custom solutions around core services such as Gerrit, HashiCorp Vault, and Artifactory.
  • Basic understanding of security concepts in software systems.
  • Strong team player with good collaboration skills.
  • Enjoys and actively participates in pair programming.
  • Takes ownership of delivery and drives solutions to completion.

Nice to Have

  • Python programming skills.
  • Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Understanding of the JVM.
