We are recruiting a Senior Platform Engineer for employment with one of our clients in Gothenburg. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, taking ownership of key platform areas, and driving continuous improvements across identity, security, cloud, and datacenter services.

The role suits a self-driven engineer who thrives in a technically deep environment and wants to contribute to a modern platform built on automation, Zero Trust principles, and cloud-first operations.

About the role
You will join a platform team with an important role in building a secure, cloud-driven, and globally unified IT environment. The position is part of a broader digital transformation journey, with strong focus on modern platform engineering, automation, security, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior technical specialist across identity, Azure infrastructure, hybrid environments, and core datacenter services

• Lead troubleshooting of complex incidents, platform issues, and performance challenges

• Take ownership of configurations, lifecycle management, and long-term technical quality

• Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable technical improvements

• Independently plan, prioritize, and execute work in line with platform roadmaps and operational needs

• Coordinate technically with engineers, architects, and project teams

• Implement and optimize Microsoft Entra ID, hybrid identity, Conditional Access, MFA, and Privileged Access Management

• Support and strengthen Zero Trust architecture and modern authentication flows

• Automate provisioning, configuration, and identity operations using tools such as PowerShell, Terraform, or Bicep

• Build scripts, tools, and pipelines to reduce manual work and improve platform reliability

• Use Azure Monitor, Defender, Sentinel, and Log Analytics to improve monitoring, visibility, and detection

• Contribute to security hardening across identity, endpoints, servers, and cloud infrastructure

• Ensure alignment with security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS benchmarks

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in platform engineering, identity services, or cloud/infrastructure operations

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, RBAC, and hybrid identity

• Solid experience troubleshooting advanced cloud or infrastructure issues

• Practical hands-on experience with PowerShell, Terraform, or Bicep

• Good understanding of Zero Trust principles

• Experience with Azure infrastructure, monitoring, and security tooling

• Ability to work independently and deliver technical solutions end-to-end

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical teams

• Fluent in English

Nice to have

• Experience from global or multi-site IT environments

• Experience from security-driven platform modernization

• Microsoft certifications within Identity, Azure, or Cybersecurity

• Other relevant certifications such as CISSP or CCNP

• Experience working in regulated or business-critical environments
